Welcome to the AppCard Office
The AppCard is issued to all students, faculty, staff and retired employees and serves as campus identification. Dependents of students, permanent employees, and retired employees are also eligible for AppCards and the associated privileges.
These IDs are encoded to provide access to campus facilities and events:
- Library checkouts
- Residence halls and building access
- Recreation facilities
- Intercollegiate events
- Many other services offered by App State
The AppCard also provides access to Meal Plans and Campus Cash.

The AppCard Office is responsible for issuing all AppCards.
Need a Voter ID?
- Physical AppCards printed on or after August 10, 2023 will be the new voter ID approved card design.
- Mobile AppCards cannot be used as a valid voter ID at this time.
- If you have a Mobile AppCard, you can request a valid voter ID card at the AppCard office at any time by emailing appcardoffice@appstate.edu. This type of voter ID will not have AppCard privileges for door access, dining hall access or retail spending. It can only be used as a voter ID.
